Consultation: Infant
An introduction to the services offered for infants at Upper Valley Integration Therapy.
Service Description
When you schedule a session for your infant, you're providing yourself an opportunity to learn and your baby with an opportunity to experience healing. This will help us determine the best service(s) for your infant, or if their symptoms are more severe and warrant the need to seek further treatment from a physician; although it's typical for my parents to have already seen physicians for their baby, been cleared of medical 'red flags', and now seek more transformative interventions. Most importantly, your infant is in good hands – literally. BIRTH HISTORY: Birth stories are important to me because they inform an infant’s development. The birthing process can be traumatic, for mother and baby; so when I work with your baby, I consider: Were they breech? Low? High? Folded funny? In a bicornuate uterus? Under a lot of stress? Being born is a lot of work. Was it a fast birth? Really long? Vaginal? Epidural, forceps, vacuum? C-section? Meconium? It's all critical information, and I want to know how they came into the world. SYMPTOMS: We aim to help babies with breastfeeding issues, acid reflux, constipation, crooked smiles, cranial bones that override, plagiocephaly (flat head), babies who only turn their head to one side, babies who only raise one arm, torticollis, hip dysplasia, fussiness, failure to thrive, and more. PRE-HAB & REHAB: If your baby has a lip or tongue tie, they benefit most from work before and after a revision. NOTE TO PARENTS: You will stay with your baby for the entire session. Your baby might cry while you're in my office, and that’s fine. They're a baby. It’s natural for a baby to act out, so I don't expect them to be on their best behavior for me. Please don't avoid coming in because you're embarrassed about your infants behavior. I'm here to help.
Cancellation Policy
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy for any and all treatments (in-office or telephone visits), regardless of the reason for cancellation. This time is set aside solely for you, and I have made myself available to you for our work together. My full hourly fee is assessed for sessions cancelled within the 24-hour cancellation period. Please understand that I will not be able to support your healing in my practice if you are unable to agree and adhere to this policy.
